How is that possible, you may ask?
Well, I love being an entrepreneur AND I love supporting people to do what they feel passionate about.
I see too many therapists giving up on their dream of starting a private practice because they feel confused and overwhelmed about the process of getting started.
Many end up working for one of those big telehealth companies where they get massive amounts of clients who are not the right fit for them which makes their already challenging job as a mental health professional even more difficult and outright exhausting.
Or, some do start on their own, but end up struggling financially and frustrated with admin tasks that sneak into their personal lives taking away time with family and doing the things they love.
Believe me, I’ve been there and done that!
When I founded Porta Verum 15 years ago, I had no one to guide and support me. I had to figure it all out on my own which took a lot of hard work and many failures too! But all the hard work and commitment paid off as today, Porta Verum is a thriving group practice with 7 providers, and 4 support staff!
I created Porta Verum as a unique psychotherapy practice where you can thrive as a therapist instead as an office manager (which you did not go to school for)!
Working at Porta Verum allows you to practice your healing art in the way that is fully aligned with who you are as a therapist, and what your philosophy for healing is.
I believe that the key to feeling better is for people to be connected with the right therapist who understands them in a deep and authentic ways and offers a therapy modality that fits their needs.
I also believe that for a therapist to feel inspired and fulfilled by their work, they need to have the right kind of clients
This is where we come in!
We match our clients with a therapist who is the right fit for them and vice versa! It’s truly like a match made in heaven making transformation possible for both the client and the therapist.
The other thing that sets us apart is that even if you are an employee, you get to set your own hours!
We are not attached to when you work, and the most important thing for us is that you have a schedule that feels good for you. We only ask for a min of 20 hours per week commitment.
Being in private practice can also be incredibly lonely and isolating. Handling difficult client situations all by yourself may feel like a big burden. It is not unusual to feel confused about what the best course of action is. This is why we do weekly team meetings which focus on offering our providers the support they need, case consultations and professional trainings.
Types of positions available
- W2 Employment
- Independent Contractor (need to have an established company or be open to starting one)
Hours
- Full-Time or Part-Time
- Min. 20 hours per week
- Choose your own availability
Compensation
- W2: $55-$80 per hour PLUS an automatic 5% revenue based bonus (about $7,500/mo with 30 hours per week)
- Independent Contractors: 65/35 split which equals to about $80-$125 per session
